Well it doesnt matter if ou have original copy or not.... i dont have the problem at full only at demo.... i think i know how the problem started. there was a server with name 'press alt+enter twice' i did it and since then i can connect only that way to all demo servers. at full i didnt tried it and i dont have that problem

It makes a sense, if full works for you but not for me it means that it has to do with the orginal serials

The server Press alt+enter twice was made by anyone who knew the trick to connect, and it was there after i couldnt connect anymore.

Now what i think:

Quake 4 Demo/Quake 4 Full ---> Master Server(-) if (-) succssfully then ---) Server you clicked in Browser

Because Demo has no and needs no serial the masterserver doesnt finish the serial check and the connection freezes until you press ALT+ENTER twice which reloads the game completly from new but keeps your statistic what you are doing now(connecting to a server) but coz of the bug it also thinks the serial check is allready done. It redirects you finally to the server!

This is the only thing which makes a sense for me because i know that the old trick ALT+ENTER was to bypass if the masterserver doesnt redirect you to the server you want to connect, because of non-Orginal serial.

wow, nice theory gang, it makes sense the way you describe it and yes i have to do the alt+enter trick 2 times when i connect to full.

the XS4ALL server is great i ping 33 there >:-) but sadly ist not allways up. Wish we could meet there for some DM action

how can we contact with the owner of demo xs4all so he changes it to vote server?

maybe babye on saturday or sunnday we meet?

if there is no server in demo then maybe full, but i would say demo is better, if clau can open server
